The Weston Centre is a friendly place for the retired and over-60s to meet friends, socialise and join activities right in the middle of Duffield, Derbyshire.

We host a variety of activities from coffee mornings to film screenings, a Memory Café, days out and iPad coaching, providing opportunities to meet, chat and enjoy the company of others in a friendly and secure environment. Evening and weekends events such as quizzes and music are also frequent. Everyone is welcome; no membership is necessary. There are voluntary donations in place, where applicable, to help our activities run.

When not in use by us, the building and minibus are available for hire. Details can be found on the relevant pages of this website.

Our activities are run almost entirely by volunteers and we always welcome offers of help. A wide range of opportunities exist for you to help us. Please see our Volunteering page for further information or here.

We are currently looking to start a basic IT Hub on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon for an hour or so. If you feel you could be a friendly and helpful face once a month to assist with simple tech tasks please contact Emma – emma.wcm@westoncentre.org.uk.

We now have an active Facebook page, please give it a visit and a like for all the latest news from the Weston Centre, events and trips!

Regular Events

Some of our regular events include Coffee Mornings, afternoon Film Club, Monday Lunch Club, Memory Café, Art and Craft group, Euro Film Club (Autumn/Winter only) and Chairobics. Most require advanced booking, but coffee mornings are open to all so why not drop in between 10am and midday Tuesday to Friday for some good company and a friendly chat. A cup costs just £2.00. We'd love to see you.
