Our minibus is available for hire when not in use for charity activities and events.

It is a Mercedes long wheel-based Sprinter with automatic transmission. It seats 17 (16 passengers plus driver), with the capacity to remove seats to add wheelchairs, and is fitted with a wheelchair lift. It is available for hire to community groups, faith groups, sports and social clubs, schools and colleges, youth groups, charities, other voluntary sector organisations, and for non-profit individual private hire. All Drivers must hold a valid D1 Driver’s Licence, which allows driving a 16 seat minibus.  To comply with our insurance, drivers must be aged between 25 and 75 years of age.  Any driver over the age of 70 must meet the DVLA Group 2 Medical standard.  The medical form can be downloaded from the DVLA website, and will need checking by your doctor. User groups and drivers must be registered with us before booking or using the bus. This includes a £20 payment that lasts for 1 year.

All drivers must have training in the use of the rear door wheelchair lifting platform if using.  We will provide this.

A log/report must be completed for each usage.  Any collisions, other incidents or penalties must be reported to us.

Before you make a booking, you must …

• Agree to our Terms and Conditions
• Complete a User Group Registration Form
• Complete a Driver Registration Form for each driver
• Pay a one-off registration fee of £20
• Provide us with a copy of your Driving Licence
• Obtain an online user registration for making bookings which we will set this up for you
• Pay a £250.00 deposit to cover any damage incurred whilst hiring the vehicle. This is totally and immediately refundable on return of the undamaged vehicle.
