Coffee mornings are from 10.00am to midday every Tuesday to Friday, apart from bank holidays. Come along and join the conversation; you are guaranteed a warm welcome whether you are new to the village, live nearby or have a long association with Duffield. We charge £2.00 for a cup of tea and coffee and biscuits served by our volunteers.
Film Club is on the first Thursday of each month. Doors open at 1.30pm and the film starts at 2.00pm. We ask for a donation of £3.00 per person to cover our costs. Memory Café ‘Fab Forgetful Friends’ runs every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 2-4pm. A friendly, safe space for those living with Dementia and their family, friends and caregivers. Euro Film Club is on the last Wednesday of each month for a showing at 7.00pm. The Euro Film Club runs in the Autumn and Winter so check back in September for the final 2024 showings. We ask for a donation of £4.00 per person and the bar is open!
iPad coaching If you would like to learn how to use an iPad, ‘surf the net’, send and receive emails, take and edit photos and understand about apps then this course is for you. No experience is necessary, but if you have used a digital device (smart phone, computer or tablet) we can help you build on your knowledge and develop your confidence and skills. We have a small number of iPads to lend for the duration of the course and classes are kept small so we can give you the attention you deserve. IT Hub We are hoping to start a drop in style IT Hub for basic tech questions and help. If you are able to volunteer please get in touch, we are hoping to start this on a Tuesday afternoon.
Chairobics Suzanne, a practising physiotherapist, runs a friendly chair-based exercise class at the Weston Centre on Monday and Friday afternoons. Why not join her to increase your fitness, have fun and make friends in? Book with Suzanne on 07810 023 743.
Walking For Health A friendly walking group leaves from the Weston Centre each Tuesday and Wednesday at 10.00am (meet at 9.45am). After a companiable walk why not pop into the Centre afterwards for a tea or coffee ? For further information contact Chris on 07977 140 415.
Minibus trips If you would like details of the trips we run using our minibus keep an eye out in the Centre or our social media. Our Spring/Summer program has started with a trip to Fairway Garden Centre in April. There are several trips currently planned in June and July – please see our what’s on page.
